Jonathan Wilson, founder of Dubb Value Creation, is among the few Black CEOs in West Hollywood, demonstrating resilience and leadership in his journey. His career includes roles at Accenture, Countrywide Financial, Bank of America, Deloitte Consulting, and Grant Thornton, culminating in the establishment of his own management consulting and investment banking firm.”
Wilson’s path to entrepreneurship was influenced by personal challenges and a desire for authenticity. After confronting familial non-acceptance of his LGBTQ+ identity, he returned to Los Angeles in 2019 where his personal evolution coincided with his professional venture into entrepreneurship.
In 2020, Wilson contributed to West Hollywood’s Social Justice Task Force, aiming to enhance social and racial equity within the city. He advocates for increased representation of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in business ownership and leadership roles, highlighting the absence of Black city council members and the need for economic development that uplifts diverse identities.
Wilson encourages support for Black businesses and events, particularly during Black History Month, emphasizing that such engagement fosters economic prosperity and societal advancement.
